Who is responsible for your data
Renvaeis a software company in Singapore. We build tools for people who let their own property. We are not a property agency, we do not represent you, and we take no part in any letting — so the data we hold is the data you give us to run the software, and nothing collected on anyone's behalf.
Our data protection contact address is being set up and will be published here. Until it is, reach us through any contact channel on this site and ask for the data protection officer — a request made that way is treated exactly the same.
What we collect
Only what a given part of the product needs to work.
- When you enquire: your name, mobile number and email address if you give one, plus what you told us about the property — type, district, the rent you have in mind and your situation.
- When you open an account: your email address and sign-in details, and the properties, listings, viewing slots and tenancy records you create in the product.
- When a tenant uses the product: the contact details they enter to ask about a place or request a viewing.
- Automatically: ordinary technical information such as your approximate location by country, device and browser type, and which pages were visited.
We do not ask for your NRIC number or a copy of your NRIC, and you should not send one to us. We do not collect payment card details — no part of this site takes a card payment.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your setup.
- To run the parts of the product you use: building your listing, scheduling viewings, passing enquiries to you, and keeping your tenancy records.
- To keep the service secure, and to find and fix faults.
- To understand which parts of the site are used, in aggregate.
If we ever want to use your data for something outside this list, we will ask you first.
Consent, and taking it back
Where we rely on your consent, you gave it by ticking the box on the form, and the exact words you agreed to are stored with your record — so what you consented to is a matter of fact rather than of memory.
You can withdraw consent at any time by telling us. We will act on it, and we will tell you if withdrawing it means part of the service can no longer work for you. Withdrawing consent does not make anything we did beforehand unlawful.
If you are a tenant
We never charge a tenant anything. There is no fee, no deposit and no subscription on the tenant side of this product, and there never will be.
When you contact a landlord through this site, your enquiry goes to that landlord. We pass it on as you wrote it. We do not rank you, score you, or tell a landlord who to pick — that decision is the landlord's alone, and the product is built so that it cannot be ours.
A landlord may keep their own records about a tenancy inside our software. For those records the landlord decides what is kept and why; we hold it on their behalf, and a request to see or correct that information is best made to them. Tell us anyway if you cannot reach them, and we will help.
Marketing, calls and messages
If you gave us your number so we could contact you about the software, we use it for that. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your number to anyone else to market to you.
Tell us to stop and we stop — by reply, by WhatsApp, or by email to the address above. We also check Singapore's Do Not Call registers before sending marketing messages to a number that has not asked to hear from us.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become customers: Up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Account and property records: For as long as you have an account, and up to 12 months after you close it.
- Tenancy records you asked us to keep: For the length of the tenancy and 6 years afterwards, because they may be needed for tax or a dispute.
Ask us to delete your data earlier and we will, unless we are required to keep something — for example a record needed for tax. We will tell you which parts we kept and why.
Seeing, correcting and deleting your data
You can ask us for:
- a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and how we have used it;
- a correction, if something is wrong;
- deletion, subject to the paragraph above.
Write to the address in the first section. We will acknowledge your request, and aim to answer within 30 days — if it will take longer than that, we will tell you when to expect it. We do not charge you for a correction.
Keeping it safe
Access to the database is restricted by rules that check, on every single request, that the person asking is entitled to that row of data. Sign-in is handled by our provider rather than by passwords we store. Only the two people who run this company have administrative access.
No system is beyond reach, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach happens that is likely to cause you significant harm, or that affects a significant number of people, we will notify Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission and the people affected, without undue delay.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when what we do changes, and the date at the top will move with it. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly rather than leave you to find it here.
The terms you use the product under are on the terms of use page.
